Happy Birthday Justin

I did a birthday cake for Justin's brother a few months ago and a graduation cake for his sister last May, so naturally it was his turn to have a Sugar Boo Sweets cake!  He has been asking his mom for an iPhone for his birthday and since she had no intention of getting him one, she thought an iPhone cake would be a nice consolation.  This was a 1/4 sheet yellow cake with buttercream icing and fondant iPhone logos.

Baby Shower cake for Helen

This baby shower cake was for a friend of mine so I was really nervous about it since I would be attending the shower!  The shower theme was coordinated with her baby's crib bedding, which is beautiful!  The cake was a double-layer, 6" square and 8" square marbled cake with buttercream icing.  The bird nest on top was a suggestion from one of the shower hostesses and was made of toasted coconut and the egg was fondant.

The shower was absolutely beautiful; Michelle and Papar, you did the best job!  Thank you for asking me to do the cake.

If you're on my facebook page, you can see a picture that Michelle posted of the cake at the shower with the matching decorations.  It looked so pretty.

Happy Birthday Lindsay!

Miss Lindsay had her big 15th birthday party last weekend and she wanted me to copy of a cake from the Cake Boss, Buddy Valastro of Carlo's Bakery in Hoboken, NJ.  He has his own show on TLC, in case you've never heard of him.  I was a little nervous because I have never done a true 3-tier cake before but excited at the same time.

The top cake was a double-layer, 8" round classic white cake, the middle cake was double-layer, 10" round classic white cake, and the bottom cake was a double-layer, 12" round cake all iced with buttercream icing.  The accents are fondant and a feather boa was added to the cake board at Lindsay's request.

Happy Birthday Peyton!

Peyton turned 2 years old last weekend and he LOVES Elmo.  Naturally, he had an Elmo themed birthday party.  I did a double-layer, 10" square marble cake with buttercream icing.  Elmo is made out of fondant but everything else is buttercream.

Baby Shower for twin girls!

This was another baby shower cake I did for twin girls, Leah and Blair.  It was a double-layer, 10" square classic white cake with strawberry filling and buttercream icing.  It was made to match the shower invite.

Conversation Heart Cookies

I have memories of these little candies from my childhood and exchanging handmade valentine's in elementary school.  It's funny how they have totally different messages printed on them now like "text me" and "tweet me".

Valentine's Day Baby Shower

This cake was for a Valentine's themed baby shower (I believe the baby is due on or near the holiday).   It was a double-layer, 8" round red velvet cake with buttercream icing.  "AGB" are the baby's initials.

Also, I did 2 dozen ladybug cakeballs; too cute!  Half were chocolate and half were white.

Happy Birthday Maddie

Maddie Grace celelbrated her 4th birthday today and she had a pretty awesome Tinkerbell/ Lost Boys theme party.  Her cake's bottom tier was a double-layer, 10" strawberry cake and the top tier was a double-layer, 6" white cake completely iced in buttercream icing. ("Happy Birthday Maddie" was in fondant and cut with my brand spankin new Cricut Cake Mini)  Tinkerbell topper was actually a candle.

Thanks for asking me to do this cake for your little angel, Michelle!

Happy Birthday Reid

My youngest nephew, Reid, turned 6 this week and he wanted a Sonic the Hedgehog cake.  He had a single-layer, half sheet cake, half white cake and half strawberry cake, with buttercream icing.  The Sonic figure was hand piped with buttercream and colored with royal icing.

Maddie's 4th Birthday

My own little princess had her 4th birthday a few weekends ago.  She's been wanting a castle cake for the past 6 months so that's what she got for her birthday.  The bottom was a single-layer, 10" round cake in cookies and cream and the top was a double-layer, 5" round strawberry cake.  Everything was buttercream icing except the castle towers, flowers and pebblestone walkway, all which were fondant.

And decorated sugar cookies were given as party favors.

Genesis Energy Holiday Party

This was a 10" round, double-layer vanilla cake with buttercream icing.

Plus, chocolate cupcakes!

Happy Birthday Kali

Miss Kali's birthday was about a month ago and she had her heart set on a megaphone birthday cake (she's a cheerleader).  So here's what I whipped up.  This was a classic white, one-layer cake with buttercream icing.

Amy, thanks again for asking me do another cake for you!

More Christmas goodies!

Houston Area Italian Greyhound Rescue Fundraiser

I was approached to donate to a fundraiser for the Houston Chapter of Italian Greyhound Rescue about a month ago.  These were at the event for bidders to see and sample.

Chocolate Covered Oreos

I love doing these and I have to be honest, it takes every bit of self control I've got not to eat them (when making them for others, that is).

They can be dipped in traditional chocolate, white chocolate, vanilla/almond, chocolate mint and white mint.  There are many, many design/decor options, too.
